Child of Hope plans to help even more children in the Namatala slum by building a secondary school, where our primary pupils can continue their free, high-quality education.

So, please can you help? They have already received £73,270 in gifts and pledges – around 71% of the target – so they’re well on our way!

Fostering in the slum

Child of Hope has closed its Ugandan slum children’s respite accommodation in favour of setting up foster homes for all its orphans and vulnerable children.

Cholera: no handshakes

With Cholera hitting Mbale, our school children are being given sensitisation sessions; plus we have banned handshakes, and are now putting dettol in water used for hand washing.
